“Live on CET!”

Well if you weren’t there you missed one good party. “Live on CET!” was held in the Music Hall Ballroom, but you would have thought you were in
Africa with the decorations. There were elephants, gorillas, giraffes and one very special monkey, Curious George. He and Thane Maynard of the Cincinnati Zoo were honorary chairs for the evening and kept things interesting. Thane brought his friend Chomper the alligator.
But when they weren’t in the spotlight there was still plenty to see. We had some
thing for everyone in our auction items, including a Z4 rental for the weekend. Sorry dad, I didn’t win this for you. They had these parked out front of our building though, what a tease.
But how could I win anything when there were bidding wars going on? If you missed it this year, there’s always next. You could be one of these smiling faces. Be sure to keep your television tuned to CET and your computer to CETconnect.org. -Katie
Live!
May 4, 2007 at 10:56 am | In Live on CET! | No CommentsSet your Tivos, your VCRs, you program reminders and/or your calendars, folks, for Thursday, May 10th. That’s when we’re going Live on CET!.
As our annual gala, Live on CET! is held at historic Music Hall and features a silent auction, a dinner and a live auction broadcast. Everyone in attendance always has a great time. This year, our honorary co-chairs are Thane Maynard from the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and PBS Kids’ favorite, Curious George. And the emcee for the auction broadcast will be WLW’s Jim Scott.
Now, if you aren’t able to attend in person, you can still take part in the auction. We’ll be on the air from 7pm until 9pm so you can pick up the phone and bid on some top notch items like a Cincinnati Reds suite, stock portfolios, a trip to the Amazon, a week-long stay at a home in Lake Tahoe, a tour of the United Kingdom and other great items.
So tune in for Live on CET! this Thursday night beginning at 7pm only on CET.
This event wouldn’t be possible without our incredible Host & Hostess Committee. This event wouldn’t be possible without their hard work. Thanks!
